More and more young people are being diagnosed with depression, anxiety disorders or eating disorders. Experts suspect that the effects of the pandemic are the reason for this. Many students have also missed the connection socially as a result of the school closures.

Then there was the loss of control: Experts assume that girls in particular tried to regain control by eating and therefore developed an eating disorder.

With a certain time lag, these problems are now also appearing in child and adolescent psychiatric institutions. Doctors say that there has recently been a striking number of serious cases.
