Where in Germany a lot is still heated with gas heaters
The Germans continue to use gas for heating.
Berlin A variety of apartments and houses in Germany is heated with gas – and many people are under pressure because of the current high prices caused by the energy crisisthat has had the world in suspense since Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine began in February.
The is now correspondingly large Demand for alternatives to gas heating. According to the Federal Statistical Office, however, a rethink has been on the cards since last year – i.e. even before the crisis – at least in the area of new construction of apartments and houses. More heat pumps are installed here than gas heaters.
