Apple claims more profit than all other smartphone manufacturers combined, as shown by evaluations available to the Handelsblatt. The group owes this development to the CEO’s strategy Tim Cook: Of the Appleboss is cutting costs while raising smartphone prices.

In the most recent quarter, the iPhone once again drove sales and profits for the company. The iPhone was a key driver of the business with sales increasing from $38.9 billion to $42.6 billion. In the past quarter, the group increased sales by eight percent year-on-year to $90.1 billion (90.4 billion euros). Bottom line, profit improved from $20.55 to $20.72 billion.
