Syria makes contacts – Assad visits the UAE – politics

Syrian ruler Bashar al-Assad traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) a few days after his visit to Vladimir Putin. Its President Mohammed bin Sajid received Assad and his wife on Sunday in Abu Dhabi, according to the state agency Wam. “Positive and constructive” talks were held, bin Sajid tweeted. Syria’s internationally isolated ruler rarely appears in public. From the start of the civil war in 2011 until 2022, he officially only traveled to the allied countries of Russia and Iran. After the severe earthquakes in February, al-Assad received a lot of support from the Gulf region. Two weeks after the earthquake, he traveled to Oman.
