With a survey, the SZ wants to find out how long the waiting time is and what hurdles there are.

Anyone who is struggling with cold symptoms only wants one thing as quickly as possible: to get well. Whether home remedies, a visit to the doctor or a trip to the pharmacy – in most cases the treatment of a cold begins within a short time. That would also be desirable when it comes to mental health. But the waiting time for therapy places in Germany is long. How long, no one knows exactly. Because the figures that are available only focus on those with statutory health insurance or the utilization of therapists. It is also unclear what hurdles there are and for whom the path to a therapy place is particularly difficult. We would like to do this with comprehensive research, including this questionnaire find out.

The survey is aimed at everyone who was or is looking for an outpatient therapy place in 2018 or later. We are looking for people who have found their place quickly and without problems, as well as for people who, perhaps after months or even years of searching, have finally given up or have decided to seek alternative therapy. Your experiences are important for our research.
