Spain – government in Catalonia collapses – politics

The separatist party Junts per Catalunya will leave the Catalan government. In a member survey, 55.73 percent of participants said loud El Mundo voted against continuing the coalition with Regional President Pere Aragonès’ Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC). He could now try his hand at a minority government or call new elections. Last week, Junts spoke out in favor of putting the vote of confidence in the regional parliament. She accuses Aragonès of not fighting hard enough for Catalan independence. In response to the “unforgivable breach of trust”, Aragonès fired his deputy Jordi Puigneró.
