The top attorney Corinne Perrault (Sabine Timoteo) knows no mercy when it comes to the interests of her clients. One morning she floats dead in Lake Zurich. What appears to be a suicide turns out to be an insidious murder. As a lawyer for the law firm Clement & Widmer, she represented the up-and-coming pharmaceutical company Argon. Their drug Volmelia is said to be causing devastating damage in the test phase. Isabelle Grandjean (Anna Pieri Zuercher) and Tessa Ott (Carol Schuler) investigate.

When Hannah becomes seriously ill and Trevor has to take care of her, Mia wants to follow in his footsteps. Hostage-taker Peter Rosenberg (Joakim Nätterqvist), security guard at the station, gives the police 58 minutes to bring Tomas Tormalm (Dag Malmberg), a wealthy real estate magnate, to the studio. Thanks to Alex, he was able to escape from the studio at the beginning of the hostage-taking. Meanwhile, transmission continues. Martin Beck (Peter Haber) drives to the TV studio to support the emergency services on site.
