Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo broke his right foot and will miss the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL for the rest of the season. This was announced by coach Kyle Shanahan after the 33:17 against the Miami Dolphins.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has broken his right foot and is missing the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL for the rest of the season. This was announced by coach Kyle Shanahan after the 33:17 against the Miami Dolphins.
Garoppolo was injured early in the game when he was knocked down by an opponent. The injury is a heavy blow for the recently highly traded 49ers and their playoff ambitions. Garoppolo initially lost his regular place but has played well since Trey Lance’s injury.
On Sunday, NFL freshman Brock Purdy came into play for him.
