Pistorius receives certificate of appointment

Today the new Defense Minister Boris Pistorius will be sworn in in the Bundestag. First of all, the Federal President issued the certificate of appointment. Among other things, Steinmeier wishes him “good nerves”.
The new Federal Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) has received its certificate of appointment. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier presented them to him at Bellevue Palace tomorrow. The resigned Minister Christine Lambrecht (SPD) received her dismissal certificate. Then Pistorius should be sworn in in the Bundestag.
Immediately afterwards, the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, Eberhard Zorn, wants to receive the new minister with military honors in the Bendler Block, the headquarters of the Defense Ministry.
Steinmeier Pistorius wished him “perseverance, good luck and a lucky hand”. Pistorius takes over the ministerial office in a threat and dangerous situation that Germany has not known for a long time, and must get started right away. “For all the upcoming challenges and necessary reforms, you now need a cool head, strong nerves, leadership, clear language and political experience.” Steinmeier said he had shown that Pistorius had all of that in other demanding political offices.
