“Game of Thrones” is said to be getting a sequel: a spin-off about Jon Snow. Kit Harington is said to embody him again.
Game of Thrones is set to get a sequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO has a spin-off planned, which should be in an early phase of development. According to the report, it’s a live-action series centered around fan-favorite Jon Snow.
If the project is actually realized, Kit Harington (35) could allegedly slip into the role again, according to “The Hollywood Reporter”. The actor was credited for portraying the “game of Thrones“-Heroes twice nominated for an Emmy.
In the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, Jon discovered that his real name is Aegon Targaryen. In the series finale, he is banished from Westeros and travels north to live beyond the Wall.
“Game of Thrones” with many offshoots?
The development shows “The Hollywood ReportersAccording to author George RR Martin (73), a new direction in dealing with the fantasy universe – similar to that of “Star Wars” and Marvel. Here appeared on the streaming service Disney + spin-off series with different characters in focus, including “WandaVision” or most recently “Obi-Wan Kenobi”.
The new “Game of Thrones” project could also allow other characters to return, such as Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) or Brienne von Tarth (Gwendoline Christie). A possible Jon Snow series isn’t the only new spin-off to the original. The prequel series “House of the Dragon” starts in August. The “Game of Thrones” spin-off will be set around 200 years before the original series and is based on George RR Martin’s novel “Fire and Blood”, in which he devoted himself to the “rise and fall of House Targaryen from Westeros”. Three more possible prequelseries should also be in different stages of development. In addition, “Game of Thrones” animated series could also be added.
