The Texans bring the top star to their leader’s side in a trade Luka Doncic. The 30-year-old Irving from the Brooklyn Nets had recently demanded a change to another team, according to the media. Irving will play number 2 with the Mavericks.
The point guard has been playing for the Nets since 2019. His greatest success was the 2016 championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside LeBron James. The exchange period for trades ends in the NBA next Thursday.
In the trade, the Mavericks are giving up Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith and future talent-education draft picks. In return, the former team of legend Dirk Nowitzki will get Markieff Morris in addition to Irving.
