The trip to England is planned for the late afternoon, where flick and Bayern professional Jamal Musiala will answer questions about the classic game against the Three Lions at the press conference (7:30 p.m./CEST). After missing the group win in the Nations League Flick and also DFB director Oliver Bierhoff expect another sporting exclamation point towards the World Cup. “It’s the last test before the nomination. We want to make amends, find our game and of course gain confidence,” said Bierhoff.
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger, who was suspended after his second yellow card in the competition, and Wolfsburg striker Lukas Nmecha due to a knee injury are no longer part of the squad. Both had already returned to their clubs on Saturday.
