The US President will be 80 on November 20 – that is not unusual in American politics. But can he still understand the worries of the younger ones?

The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosiis 82, Senate Speaker Chuck Schumer is 71 and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is 80. The standard retirement age in the United States is 66 years. But in politics, the 70+ generation has the say.

While 50 is already considered a critical mark in the working world, politicians are staying longer and longer in their posts – or come back.
