London studio removes Kanye West tattoos for free

The Naama Studios team is offering to remove such tattoos for free after the rapper’s repeated hate speech and anti-Semitic remarks in recent weeks. Among other things, the musician, who now calls himself Ye, posted a picture of a Star of David intertwined with a swastika on Twitter. As a result, his account was blocked.

On Instagram, Naama Studios posted a video showing the removal of a Kanye West tattoo. It reads: “If you have a tattoo inspired by someone you admire – and that person is making the headlines for the wrong reasons…at NAAMA we offer encouraging, compassionate, high-tech tattoo removal on. If you want a change, we are here for you.”

Not everyone who has such a tattoo and finds it annoying can afford to have it removed, the company said in the “Washington Post” quoted. Normally, lasering a tattoo costs up to 2,000 pounds, the equivalent of more than 2,300 euros. The studio told the newspaper that several people had come forward to have a Ye tattoo removed in the past few weeks.

Ye is an artist known far beyond the USA. There are hundreds of posts on Instagram under the hashtag #Kanyetattoo. Featuring lyrics, album art, quotes and portraits of the rapper etched into fan body parts.
