Last generation and FDP: little love

Et is one of the peculiarities of the “last generation” that they claim to speak for a majority that they still want to reach. The activists are glued to the streets to, as they say, draw the attention of the “entire country” to the urgency of their cause, but at the same time state that “the people” are already ready for the changes they are calling for to protect the climate . But “in particular the FDP” is not yet. The distinction between “the people” and the liberals says more about the activists than about the party, but most importantly it makes it clear: The FDP is the number one enemy image for the “last generation”.
Sometimes the activists even try to give the impression that the welfare of all mankind stands and – above all – falls alone with the decisions of the FDP. So they announced in November: “If the FDP does not immediately end its blockade of the simplest security measures, the earth’s climate runs the risk of entering a spiral of tipping points.” But the party already has many people on their conscience. The climate policy of the FDP is “a crime against all those who will lose their lives as a result”. On another occasion, the activists name the supposed enemies of humanity even more specifically. Sometimes, thanks to FDP Transport Minister Volker Wissing, the “road to climate hell” is freshly paved, sometimes Wissing and the FDP chairman “gamble”. Christian Lindner for the favor of the fossil and car lobby and “gambled away all our survival”.
