Kenya – Odinga wants to contest election – politics


Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has appealed the results of the presidential election to the country’s highest court. Odinga, 78, who narrowly lost Vice President William Ruto in the vote in early August, accuses the IEBC Electoral Commission of corruption. Odinga’s lawyer said on Monday that the commission was a “criminal cesspool”. Four out of seven members of the commission resigned because the counting was not transparent.
