Karoline Herfurth on the portrayal of female sexuality in the cinema, new family structures, the working conditions for young parents on the set and her comedy “Einfach mal was Schönes”.
Karoline Herfuth, 38, has long been one of the best-known German actresses. She is also very successful as a director. her last Movie “Beautiful” had over one and a half million viewers in the cinema – German films rarely do that even without a pandemic. In her new tragic comedy “Einfach mal was Schönes” (theatrical release November 17), she elegantly plays with old romcom clichés and turns the genre upside down.
