“I’ve eaten meat my whole life. That’s why I say: yes, you can eat animals. People have always eaten animals. But we should appreciate meat more. Eating animals shouldn’t be taken for granted. Maybe that comes from the During the war, in which I grew up, but to this day I try to stick to one rule. Meat is only available every three days. I can’t always make it. When my sons visit me and we go to a restaurant, then order I always eat meat. But it can’t be too greasy. Besides, I don’t like chicken, it always tastes so flat, doesn’t it? I’ve seen a few documentaries on TV about factory farming. That kind of thing shouldn’t be allowed anymore. Admittedly, when I have a steak on my plate in front of me, I don’t think much about it. Once I bought a schnitzel in the supermarket for lunch. At home I fried it in a pan. When I bit into it, there was something something different. I looked at the pack. The schnitzel was vegetarian. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all.”

“I’m a vegetarian. I’ve never liked meat. When I do, I’ll have a burger or a sausage. But I find steak really disgusting. My mum is also a vegetarian. My dad isn’t. He really likes to eat meat. But that’s no problem at all in the family, sometimes we just eat different things. Mom also buys substitute products, which we then eat together. I find it really difficult to say whether you can eat meat or not. I can only decide that for myself. I think it’s important , how much you eat and where the meat comes from. If people pay attention, I don’t care if they eat meat. I’ve been a vegetarian for three years. Sometimes there were breaks, for example on vacation. That sounds really strange now, but I do I’m not the biggest fan of animals. We don’t have pets either. I don’t mind petting animals either. But I watched documentaries about animal husbandry relatively early on. It’s just not cool. It got me difficult hit like animals have to suffer. Then I thought: If they don’t taste that bad to me, then I can just stop eating them.”
