Rome Stefano Zumino has been in the front row for more than two hours. The 75-year-old wants to see Giorgia Meloni up close when she takes the stage at a campaign event in Genoa.
Meloni, that is the new hope of Italy's right – and also those of Zumino. "I've always voted for the right," says the pensioner, holding a flag from Meloni's Fratelli d'Italia (FDI) party. He used to vote for Silvio Berlusconi, later for the right-wing Lega, now he wants to vote for Meloni.
