A new brand name and logo are intended to reflect the changed product range of the Heidelberg building materials manufacturer. The Management Board has set itself the goal of becoming the first climate-neutral company in the industry.
Dhe building materials manufacturer Heidelberg Cement renames itself to Heidelberg Materials. The new brand name will be introduced at group level with immediate effect, the Dax company announced on Tuesday in Heidelberg. The national and international subsidiaries would be gradually renamed from 2023.
The Executive Board explained the renaming and the new logo with the broader range of services of the group and the goal of becoming the first climate-neutral company in the industry. The company intends to offer CO2-free cement on a large scale from 2024. By 2030, the board wants to generate half of the company's sales with climate-friendly products.
“We are proud of our cement business, but the company's range of services goes far beyond cement. Even more today and in the future,” said the CEO, Dominik von Acht. The building materials manufacturer employs more than 51,000 people in more than 50 countries worldwide. The parent company of Heidelberg Materials remains Heidelberg Cement AG.
