Handball - Großwallstadt: Bicer suffers cruciate ligament rupture - sport

Görkem Bicer, right winger of the second division handball team TV Großwallstadt, has been out for months after an injury suffered in the game against TuS N-Lübbecke last Saturday. The 23-year-old Turk tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the first half without any external influence. Bicer is likely to be absent from the club for at least six months. Maxim Schalles, who replaced him on Saturday, is stepping in for Bicer. The club have also signed a left-hander in Ukraine U-19 international Dmytro Redkyn from their own youth academy. Redkyn was due to take part in the Bundesliga team’s training for the first time on Tuesday.
