They already cut a good figure together at the Oscars: Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield could soon play a loving couple. However, negotiations are still ongoing.
Standing at the Oscars Florence Pugh (27, “Don’t Worry Darling”) and Andrew Garfield (39, “The Amazing Spider-Man”) together on stage as trophy lenders, now plans for the first joint film project have become known.
The company StudioCanal confirmed a report by the film portal “Deadline.com” on Tuesday that the British actress and her US colleague are negotiating for the leading roles in the love film “We Live In Time”.
Irishman John Crowley (53) is on board as director. He previously brought on Saoirse Ronan for the melodramatic romance Brooklyn Love between two worlds” (2015) in front of the camera. With Nicole Kidman he shot the literary adaptation “Der Goldfinch” (2019).
Pugh has recently directed films such as “Black Widow”, “The Miracle” and “Don’t Worry Darling”. Garfield won the 2022 Golden Globe for best comedy actor in the musical “Tick, Tick… Boom!”. The role also earned him an Oscar nomination.
