Heufer-Umlauf: Entertainers should show attitude

Klaas Heufer-Umlauf is known throughout Germany. It is well known that he also takes a position on political issues. He thinks that’s important for his industry in general.
The moderator Klaas Heufer circulation considers it important that entertainers also draw attention to important social issues. “I think it’s good if you distinguish yourself as an entertainer,” said the 39-year-old of the “Stuttgarter Zeitung” and the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” (Friday). “I think it’s always good when important information that affects us all is discussed in the middle of life – and that also means on entertainment shows.”
Heufer-Umlauf said he had no desire to primarily spread an attitude and see how one could hide it in something entertaining. “But if you have the attention, I find it somehow indecent not to use it now.” Heufer-Umlauf plays in the thriller “Der Schwarm”, which premieres at the Berlinale.
