The US producer association Producers Guild of America has decided on a winning film. What does this mean for future award shows?
The Science Fictioncomedy “Everything Everywhere All at Once” also won the US Producer Awards. The US producer association Producers Guild of America (PGA) chose the comedy as the best film on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” beat nine other candidates such as “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “Elvis”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” or “Tár”. Actor Tom Cruise received a special award.
More than 8,000 film producers vote on the awards, which have been presented for the 34th time. They are considered a barometer for the Oscars, which will be awarded in mid-March this year.
