E-Fuels: The FDP and the fairy tale of the green combustion engine – economy
In principle, there is nothing to be said against giving e-fuels tax advantages. But the FDP should also tell drivers that these climate-neutral combustion engines will probably never come.

No sooner has the FDP opened a back door for combustion engines after 2035 than the party leader leaves Christian Lindner the next step immediately. He wants to lower the taxes on these synthetic fuels: In the future, e-fuels should be treated better than petrol or diesel, both at the pump and in terms of vehicle tax.
