Doping case in football – longer deadline for Vuskovic – Sport

Soccer professional Mario Vuskovic, 21, from the second division Hamburger SV has more time to give his opinion in his doping case. The German Football Association has granted the Croatian’s “renewed application for an extension of the deadline” until January 17th. “Then the DFB control committee and DFB sports court will decide on the progress of the procedure,” said the DFB. In the case of Vuskovic, exogenous erythropoietin (Epo) was detected in a doping test on September 16, and he has been temporarily banned since December 15. Vuskovic maintains his innocence.
