Cross Country Skiing – Only 0.41 seconds – Sports

Laura Gimmler and Sofie Krehl just missed out on the first German team sprint podium in the cross-country skiing World Cup in seven years. The duo from Oberstdorf finished fourth in Livigno/Italy, 0.41 seconds short of the podium. The duos from Sweden were unbeatable, third place went to the USA. In January 2016, Sandra Ringwald and Hanna Kolb finished third and secured the last World Cup podium in the team sprint. Katharina Hennig and Victoria Carl surprisingly won gold at the Olympics in Beijing. Gimmler had equaled her best result of the World Cup winter in the individual with eighth place on Saturday.
