Biden and Xi meet – politics

It was actually a summit before the summit: on Monday at 5:12 p.m., US President Joe Biden’s entourage rolled towards the “Mulia” hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali. At 5:36 p.m., China’s President Xi Jinping and Biden shook hands for the first time since they have both been heads of state. It was also the first meeting since the outbreak of the pandemic between the leaders of the two superpowers whose tensions have grown while the world has stood still. The differences range from the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine to the Taiwan question, North Korea’s nuclear ambitions and the conflicts in the South China Sea. It’s going to be difficult to get along with each other.
