Beyond Meat manager allegedly bit man's nose

Dhe head of operations at Beyond Meat was arrested on Saturday for allegedly biting a man on the nose, among other things. The altercation took place after a football game in the city of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

While pulling out of a parking space, a Subaru is said to have pulled in front of Ramsey's Ford Bronco and touched the front right tire of his car. According to local police, Ramsey then jumped out of his car and banged his fists on the Subaru's rear window.

As the driver got out of the car, Ramsey reportedly punched him and bit his nose, his teeth "ripping the flesh of the tip of his nose," police said. Ramsey also threatened to kill the man.

Doug Ramsey has been arrested on third-degree assault and threats charges, according to court documents. The manager was released Sunday after posting $11,000 bail.

The 53-year-old was appointed COO of Beyond Meat, a global manufacturer of meat substitutes, in December. Ramsey previously worked for meat producer Tyson Foods for three decades.
