Bahn expects more trains in the Frankfurt long-distance railway tunnel

KFew other construction projects will change Frankfurt as much over the next few decades as the long-distance railway tunnel, through which high-speed trains are to travel from the main station under the city to the east. So far, the billion dollar project is going according to plan.
Two years after the presentation of a feasibility study, a community of engineering offices has now been commissioned with the preliminary planning. The four partners around the renowned office Schüßler-Plan and the railway’s own consulting company DB Engineering & Consulting don’t have to get used to it for long, because they were already responsible for the feasibility study. The first results should be available in two years.
