Arsenal remain at the top of the table
Dhe Arsenal FC has maintained its five-point lead at the top of the English Premier League. The Londoners easily won 3-0 (3-0) at their city rivals FC Fulham on Sunday and are thus five points ahead of pursuers Manchester City. The current champions won 1-0 at Crystal Palace on Saturday. Manchester United follows in third place a week after the 0:7 against Jürgen Klopps FC Liverpool did not go beyond a 0-0 draw against Southampton FC.
Coach Erik ten Hag’s team are 16 points behind Arsenal, but have played one game fewer. United had to play a man down for almost an hour after former Real Madrid pro Casemiro saw a red card for foul play after the video referee intervened (34th minute). Despite good opportunities, it was enough for the team around the former Bundesliga professionals Jadon Sancho and Wout Weghorst against the bottom of the table did not get the win they had hoped for as compensation for the clear 7-0 defeat a week ago.
Arsenal offered a confident performance from the start at Fulham with national goalkeeper and former Arsenal professional Bernd Leno.
