Alpine skiing – Enough snow in Levi – Sport

Finally good weather news for alpine skiing: After a positive snow check, the world association Fis gave the green light for the two women’s slaloms on November 19th and 20th in Levi, Finland. For the ski racers it will also be the first races of the season after the giant slalom in Sölden was canceled at the end of October (and is to be made up for in Semmering at the end of December). Fis’ plans to start the winter with even more races in late autumn have recently turned into a farce: seven of the eight scheduled races were cancelled, including the parallel races in Lech/Zürs planned for the coming weekend. Only one men’s giant slalom in Sölden could take place so far.
