Airplane passenger opens the emergency exit on approach

DThree minutes of horror: Shortly before an Asiana Airlines flight landed, a passenger apparently opened the emergency exit at a height of more than 200 meters, which led to stormy winds in the cabin. Videos taken by people on board and shared on social media show passengers fierce wind blowing through their hair and clutching their armrests.

As the Korean airline announced, the plane landed safely and all of the 200 people on board survived. According to the local fire department, nine people had to be hospitalized due to hyperventilation. The passenger suspected of opening the door has been arrested by police. The motive is so far unclear.

The Airbus A321 flew from the Korean holiday island of Jeju to Daegu, a city about 240 kilometers south of Seoul. Among the 194 passengers were school children who wanted to take part in sports competitions in Daegu.
