Fighting in Panjir intensifies. The resistance group "National Liberation Front" reports that they have killed several dozen Taliban.

In Afghanistan it is again violent clashes between the ruling Taliban and resistance groups came.

the resistance group "National Liberation Front" (NRF) reported on Tuesday evening that they had killed 71 Taliban. The Taliban, who have been in power again since August 2021, say they have killed 40 "rebels" in Panjir province. Another 101 resistance fighters were arrested. The information could not be independently verified.

The province with around 170,000 inhabitants panjir north of Kabul is traditionally considered a stronghold of resistance against the Taliban. The setback for all Taliban opponents was all the greater when the new rulers were able to take over the valley with its steep and rugged mountains in September last year. The Panjshir Valley is also considered the birthplace of the NRF.

The US and UK, both with their troops in until 2021 Afghanistan do not want to support the armed resistance against the Taliban this year. However, the fighting in Panjshir seems to be intensifying.
